Andrew Vara's accounting journey began in Denver in 1990, following his graduation from Metropolitan State University. His career has been rich and varied, with experiences spanning diverse industries. Andrew's accounting prowess has made an impact in software development, cable television, construction materials, and the innovative field of fiber optic networks.

His journey did not stop there. Before finally stepping into public accounting, he ventured into direct broadcast satellite, healthcare, SAAS, real estate, and oil and gas. Each industry was a new chapter and challenge that honed his skills and broadened his perspective. Andrew's adaptability in navigating these diverse industries reassures his clients of his ability to handle any challenge.

Today, Andrew is the Accounting Manager, a role that demands him to juggle multiple client engagements. As an outsourced accounting resource, he excels in immediate problem-solving and contributes to long-term strategic foresight. His adaptability and expertise make him a highly valued asset to his clients.

Outside the office, Andrew is deeply involved with the Institute of Management Accountants. He has served on the board of directors for the Denver Centennial chapter in various capacities, contributing his insights and leadership. Currently, he wears the hat of the Wild West Council President, a role that he leads with dedication and passion, showcasing his unwavering commitment to the profession and inspiring others with his dedication.

 Nancy McCleary started her career as a staff accountant at Kyocera with extra time to fill so she was allowed to also work there as a database programmer and report writer.  Eventually, she became the company’s Vice President – Accounting and later went into consulting and work at companies such as WD-40 Company, the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, and General Atomics.  The combination of understanding where data resides and the people and departments who accomplish work in the corporate environment allowed her to help herself and others to achieve at high levels and maintain documented processes and controls.  Believing that Excel is one of the best business tools, Andrew Vara (Wild West Council President) and Nancy will teach some of their knowledge of Excel at the Wild West Council’s August continuing education event Friday, August 9 at 2:30 pm in the seminar Scenario Planning and Practical Ways to Use Excel.

Chad Switzer is an experienced financial executive with a proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and strategy, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at One Call of Jacksonville, Florida.

 

Before joining One Call, worked as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Trailer Bridge, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida.

 

Mr. Switzer is also an active board member of the Orange County Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants contributing his expertise in FP&A, Ethical Practices, and Strategic Management.

Bill Tolmasoff is a Fractional Chief Financial Officer and President of The Fit CFO in Brea, California, serving Orange County.

 

During Bill’s  twenty-plus years in the finance & accounting industry, he has held various executive, operations, and even business development positions, starting with Ernst & Young, LLP, Boeing, AT&T, Service Corporation International, Land O’Lakes, Trojan Battery. He held the CFO title with Complete Logistics, Harvest Landscape and Far West Management. 

 

Bill also held positions of high responsibility within Fortune 500 companies and finds his passion working within entrepreneurial environments. He excels at leading organizations in improving financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, financial and business strategy, revenue strategy, and building highly bonded relationships throughout the organization.

 

He is a three-time honored CFO of the Year nominee in Orange County Business Journal, and an honored CFO of the Year nominee in Los Angeles Business Journal. His leadership was recognized with the honor of the Association of Corporate Growth - Emerging Growth award in May 2023, where he accepted the accolade for Harvest Landscape Enterprises, Inc.

 

Outside of the Financial world, Bill is also an author of thought provoking and thought leadership books. He is also an accomplished triathlete and has competed on championship winning teams. He has a passion for sharing a mindset that will train, motivate, and recreate physical and mental fitness within the C-Suite.

Bill has a B. A. in Accountancy and is California CPA. He also holds certifications in personal training, nutritional coaching, and corrective exercise.
